Zanzibar Island

Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania in East Africa, is famous for its white sand beaches and palm-swaying palms. The island, part of the Zanzibar Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, lies 25-50 km off the mainland’s shore. Zanzibar City, located on Unguja Island, serves as the country’s capital. Stone Town, the historic centre, has been designated a World Heritage Site. Swimming, snorkelling, diving, and grazing on coral gardens are all popular water sports activities in Zanzibar. The old Stone Town of Zanzibar provides a look into the island’s history. Visitors may also take the Spice Tour, which allows them to experience Zanzibar’s rare spices in their natural setting. For unique street cuisine, Forodhani Garden’s food market is a must-see.
