Route Detailed Itinerary

Greetings from Zanzibar! Our driver guide will meet you at the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in Zanzibar and take you on the quick 20-minute drive to your hotel in Stone Town, the city's historic district. You can work out in the fitness centre, take advantage of the spa (at an additional cost), swim in the gorgeous infinity pool with views of the Indian Ocean, or just relax on a sun lounger and enjoy the sunshine. The hotel's Zamani Residence concept, which consists of a number of terraced restaurants with influences from Indian, Arabic, and continental cuisine and serves locally caught fish, really shines when it comes to dining.

You will have breakfast at your hotel this morning before touring the intriguing Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with our knowledgeable local guide. Zanzibar has been influenced by numerous cultures over the ages, and Stone Town is arguably the place where you can most clearly observe their effects. The vibrant market, teeming with unique scents and bustling with bartering locals, is where your guide will take you first.

Following the abolition of slavery in 1873, you will then visit the serene 19th-century church, which was constructed on the site of the slave market. You will pass Arab homes with their inner courtyards concealed behind heavy doors as you meander through the winding streets and lanes. Their design is comparable to that of Indian homes, which are embellished with metal railings and balustrades.

The "Tip Tip House," the Old Fort, and the People's Palace Museum are among of the town's historic landmarks. The Silk Route Indian rooftop restaurant, which overlooks the ocean, will serve lunch. Enjoy the delicious food and maybe wash it down with a cocktail at the Silk Route, which is full of charm. You will be led back to your accommodation in Stone Town in the evening for dinner and some free time.

You can take your time enjoying the morning after breakfast. Before we take you to your preferred beach hotel for the remainder of your time in the fascinating, alluring city of Zanzibar, your Stone Town hotel will serve you an early lunch. Now is the time to unwind and take advantage of some genuine downtime after the pleasant commotion of Stone Town.

You have the freedom to do as little or as much as you like today. After all, you can just unwind on the beach, maybe behind a swaying palm tree, or by the pool at your hotel. You can swim or participate in one of the activities offered through your hotel reception if you don't want to spend the day completely inactive.

You have a second full day today to unwind at your hotel by the sea, have a leisurely swim, or take use of the more active amenities available. Of course, you can also decide to go out and see a little more of this stunning island. Any activity or excursion that piques your interest can be arranged with the assistance of the hotel desk staff.

We will transport you to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your subsequent flight after you have had breakfast at your accommodation. We will make arrangements for you to eat lunch before you check out of the hotel if your departure time is later.
